QUEEN + ADAM LAMBERT

Queen and Adam Lambert (sometimes referred to as Q+AL or QAL) is a creative touring collaboration between the active members of the British band Queen (Brian May and Roger Taylor) and American vocalist Adam Lambert. Original bassist John Deacon declined to participate in the band's projects due to his retirement in 1997. The previous live collaboration project, Queen and Paul Rodgers folded in 2009. Then as now, Taylor and May made it clear that Lambert would not be 'replacing' Queen frontman Freddie Mercury(who they quite rightly regard as irreplacable) but rather that he would be the featured vocalist beside the band's original members, plus long-time touring stalwarts keyboardist Spike Edney, bass guitarist Neil Fairclough and percussionist Tyler Warren.

There are apparently no plans for this line-up to record a studio album, but May and Taylor have both hinted that there's always the potential for the group to record original material.
